Sausage & Jalapeno Rotini Dish

Once you boil the noodles, this savory - and spicy - dish comes together in just 10 to 15 minutes. While you could absolutely use chicken sausage or even shredded chicken, we went with some jalapeno cheese metts we had left over from our July 4th party. The dip, the sausage and the peppers made this a bright (and surprisingly fresh) easy, filling and affordable dinner.

Ingredients

  1. 1 Box of “Salad Rainbow Twirls” or your preferred rotini noodles.

  2. 1 Container of Taste of the South Dips’ Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Popper Dip

  3. 1 Orange Pepper, sliced

  4. 1 Green Pepper (optional), sliced

  5. 1 Onion, minced

  6. 1 Protein (we used two jalapeno cheese metts), chopped to be bite sized

  7. 2 tbsp of butter or oil

Instructions

  1. Boil noodles to desire texture, strain and set aside.

  2. Melt butter or heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

  3. Add the pepper slices and cook until slightly charred.

  4. Add your protein and continue to cook for 3 to 5 minutes.

  5. Add your strained noodles, cook until warm.

  6. Add your dip and stir until melty and well incorporated.

  7. Serve and enjoy!
