Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese: A Spicy Spin on Southern Comfort Food
When the weather outside is frightful – or you’re just in need of a cozy afternoon – there’s nothing quite like the downhome flavors of a classic grilled cheese. It’s warm, gooey, buttery and just all together delicious. But you don’t need a cold day to enjoy a hot grilled cheese – we actually get a kick out of spicing up a grilled cheese for a weeknight meal, especially when you need something lickety-split. While many of our dips would make a great addition to a grilled cheese, the Buffalo Chicken Dip is a crowd pleaser.
Ingredients
Bread: Any bread will do, but Texas toast holds up better to the weight of the dip. You’ll need two slices for one grilled cheese.
Cheese: American or Cheddar (or both) are always tasty choices, but you can use whatever sliced cheese you prefer. You can also use shredded cheese in a pinch.
Butter: Enough to butter the outsides of the bread.
2 Tablespoons (Use more or less depending on your preferences) Taste of the South Buffalo Style Chicken Dip
Instructions
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread and place them butter side down on pan set to medium-high heat.
Place one piece of cheese on top of each slice.
When the cheese begins to melt, add the Taste of the South Buffalo Style Chicken Dip to one slice of bread and spread it to the edges.
Flip the second piece of bread, cheese side down, on top to make a sandwich.
Grill the bread, flipping as needed, to your desired level of brownness.
Enjoy!
