Delicious Dip-Based Recipes to Chase Away the Winter Blues
With Valentine’s Day behind us and spring still more than a month away, it’s that time of year when you really want to throw up the windows… only to find that it’s 40 degrees outside. Although we’ll certainly be getting some Vitamin D on those warmer days, there are definitely still chilly days ahead before we turn the corner toward summer. To fight those lingering winter blues, we’ve pulled together four of our favorite Taste of the South Dip-based recipes. Some are spicy, some are cozy, but they are all easy and delicious. Enjoy!
Pull Apart Poppers: Although we originally made this recipe for Halloween using our Smoked Carnitas Street Taco Dip, we’re excited to try this same recipe with our Smokehouse Beef Brisket Dip! The two dips have a similar texture and thickness, so we’re confident this new twist on one of our favorite is going to be fantastic: https://www.tasteofthesouthdips.com/tips-of-the-south/carnitas-dip-pull-apart-poppers.
Cheesy Twice-Baked Potatoes: Listen, if potato soup can be a meal, then so can these amazing twice-baked potatoes. Made with our Caramelized Onion and Bacon Dip, this filling is flavorful, creamy and absolutely cozy. Pressed for time during the week? You can easily do the first bake on a weekend and stick the potatoes in the fridge for a few days until you’re ready to fill them and put them back in the oven. We’re just recommend warming them up a little before adding your toppings for the second bake: https://www.tasteofthesouthdips.com/tips-of-the-south/twice-baked-potatoes-recipe.
Veggie Spinach Artichoke Dip Quesadillas: This might not the first recipe you think of enjoying curled up under the blankets, but don’t let the spinach fool you – one bite of this ooey gooey goodness will change your mind. We love these with spinach and peppers, but you can add whatever veggies you have on hand for a unique twist: https://www.tasteofthesouthdips.com/tips-of-the-south/easy-veggie-quesadillas-recipe.
Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese: There’s just nothing like a good cup of soup and a grilled cheese on a gloomy winter day. If you’re looking for a little more than a slice of American cheese – both in protein and in flavor – then you have to try making your sandwich with your Buffalo Chicken Dip! We’re also looking forward to trying this recipe with our Nashville Hot Chicken Dip and gouda cheese… https://www.tasteofthesouthdips.com/tips-of-the-south/buffalo-chicken-grilled-cheese.
