Baked Brie Mummy
Look no further for the Halloween appetizer that will have everyone talking. This super simple baked brie mummy is perfect for a Halloween charcuterie board. It only takes 5 ingredients and about 5 minutes of preparation. Taste of the South Caramelized Onion and Bacon Dip adds an incredible amount of flavor to the brie and is fantastic served with crackers or sliced apples.
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Unfold puff pastry sheet and set out on a large cutting board. Roll the puff pastry to a large enough square to fully wrap around the brie.
Spread Caramelized Onion and Bacon Dip into a 4-inch circle in the center of the pastry. Place Brie on top and fold pastry over the cheese, pinching the edges to seal. Place pastry seam-side-down on the prepared baking sheet, and brush with egg wash.
Cut leftover puff pastry into strips and wrap around brie, trimming as necessary.
Brush one last time with egg wash.
Bake in oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
For eyes, place two candy eyeballs on top.
Let cool for about 10 minutes. Serve with apples or crackers and Enjoy!!
